Over the past few weeks we have designed and built a new website for Ipswich based, Jeremy Hammersely. He is an avid cyclist who was fed up of visiting lots of different websites if he wanted to sell an item, swap an item or chat with other cyclists in a forum. So he decided he wanted his own website! We love a good API mash-up and so for the latest update to our CaffeineCommerce online shopping platform, we've integrated with OpenStreetMaps to provide a visual representation of address related data.

What does this mean for users of CaffeineCommerce?

By "geocoding" each and every address, it allows us to present users with vibrant graphical interfaces ranging from maps with markers, to heatmaps of sales across the UK, Europe and beyond. Customers and administrators alike to achieve a much richer experience when using the site, leading to lower bounce rates and higher conversions.

Since August we have been working with Chiara Saunders on her new business, a book review website aimed at parents and teenagers.
